General : The end of freedom as we know it.
Posted by PeterTM on 2010/4/8 0:48:35 (189 reads) News by the same author

Earlier today, the Digital Economy Bill was passed by our pathetic upstanding publishing company lapdogs Members of parliament after ignoring the truth for the sake of more under the table bonuses carefully considering what was best for the country.

Dead duck software does not and never will condone piracy, however it is disgusting that media companies can be given what is essentially free reign to dictate what uk citizens can and cannot access with their internet connections. They are not some sort of secret gestapo (however much they would like to be) and should not be given any more power than any other company has.

"Do you begin to see, then, what kind of world we are creating? It is the exact opposite of the stupid hedonistic Utopias that the old reformers imagined. A world of fear and treachery and torment, a world of trampling and being trampled upon, a world which will grow not less but more merciless as it refines itself. Progress in our world will be progress toward more pain." - George Orwell, 1984

Yes, it is a very sorry state of affairs.

So this means, I Won't be able to 'pick up' a copy of paint tool SAI that 'fell of the back of a truck'.

Sucks. (Although it's a hell of a lot cheaper than photoshop.)
